The second expansion to Carcassonne introduces the new Market with three types of goods, Wine, Wheat, and Fabric, as well as the new Builder meeple. You acquire goods by placing tiles depicting one of the goods; you place the Builder to snag a second turn. There are also Pigs, which you can place in a field to score extra points. Both Builders and Pigs stay in their respective areas only if the player controlling the area keeps a regular meeple there, adding another layer to basic placement strategy. This expansion adds significant new gameplay concepts, so it's a great addition for players looking for a new challenge in the game. Base game required for play. Best for 3-6 players aged 8 and up; adding this expansion makes play time 45-60min.
