Crisp, clean pages except for a prior owner's name on the front free endpaper and gentle age-toning throughout; style 8 full-cloth hard cover bears some softening at spine ends, fading in gutters, and a small rectangle of sticker residue at the top right front, otherwise sound. Dust jacket (style h) has a conspicuous open tear along spine, effacing part of the title, as well as toning and a clear water stain along the spine, small chips at corners and spine ends (and one at the right front edge), some short, open tears at the top right rear corner, and a priceclip on the front interior flap; front panel remains presentable, and jacket is now protected in a clear sleeve. xii, 338pp.
