Crisp, clean pages except for a short scratch in the gilding along the head edge and a small, clear water line at the top right corners of the front free endpaper, first blank page, and half-title, as well as gentle age-toning throughout; square, secure binding, full cloth cover showing some softening and shelf rubbing at spine ends and corners, several shallow taps around front board edges, softening of the bottom left rear corner, and a few very light, brief scratches in the finish on the fabric, otherwise lovely, clean and vivid, with gilt titles and decoration at spine and front. xxxi, 174pp.
