1958 printing. Crisp, clean pages except for light droplet marks on the black topstain and modest age-toning in the margins; square, secure binding, red cloth hard cover somewhat softened at the spine heel and moderately rubbed at spine ends and corners; dust jacket is priceclipped bears a short, closed tear with attendant creasing at the top front, small spots of surface wear along the foreedges and spine shoulders, a bit of open edge chipping at corners and spine ends with some surface rubbing and shallow wrinkling, otherwise an attractive, vivid, clean style i jacket in a new, protective sleeve. 492pp. + pp. series catalogue. Note that this is a heavily abridged text; for all the reflective and philosophical portions together with the seriously amazing libraries he visited and tended, go to a larger and less specifically edited-for-titillation edition. If you were just going to skip to the adventure/seduction bits anyway, this is perfect.
