Ferdinand Hirts Deutsche Druckschrift-Fibel

Breslau: Ferdinand Hirt, 1933. Illustrated by Kutzer, Ernst. Pictorial Boards. Good with no dust jacket / No Dustjacket. Item #059031

Language: German (Gothic typeface). Pages show a line of faint water staining and light rippling along the heel edges, toning around all page edges, ink-stamps at the front endpapers and a little foxing at the edges of both sets of endpapers, yet remain striking, each with a two-tone illustration. The sewn binding remains tight, though the cloth over the spine is quite frayed at the ends and bears two short tears in the surface along the left edge of the spine; the back board shows small scratches, specks, and rub-marks, the front board a droplet stain in the middle and some surface wear, and the edges of the paper-covered boards are chipped and worn, yet the cover remains overall attractive, the 96 pages of alphabet and poetry still delightful. Reading exercises taken from folk sources as well as from Adolf Holst, Reinhard Heuer, Paula Dehmel, Wilhelm Hey, Johannes Trojan, et al.

Price: $40.00
