Crisp, clean pages except for some creasing at the lower free corner of the last leaf; a vertical crease and small corner crease to one leaf; age-toning at preliminaries and final endpapers and around the edges of the page block, but no owners' marks. Binding is square and secure, green cloth cover somewhat rubbed and softened at spine ends and bearing an area of handling soil at the lower and right front, a tap at the upper rear and a spot of fraying nearby, a little staining over the front joint, and some edge chips and shallow scratching on the pastedown title at the front, but otherwise sound and attractive. Approximately 300 pages showing reproductions of various notes and explanations by the author of why they failed the scrutiny of various higher American courts; deemed invaluable as a resource for business professionals and useful for students and practitioners of law at its release and upon two subsequent reprints, this is also fascinating as a historical piece for the content of the drafts and contracts reproduced within.
