Gallaher and Dick Spencer III contributed articles about the Sauk and Fox tribes, banished to a distant reservation, who returned to Iowa, jointly purchased land in Tama County, shifted to their preferred name of "Meskwaki", and became a cultural hub, with annual meetings sometimes drawing Native representatives from across the country.
