Crisp, clean pages except for a number stamped on the front endpaper, modest toning in the margins, and light foxing around the edges; binding modestly relaxed but square and secure, full green cloth cover dust-stained around head edges and showing rubbing and a few tiny spots of fraying at corners and spine ends, otherwise sound. Dust jacket bears open tearing along front foreedge and tearing with long attendant creases at corners and spine ends, a small sticker abrasion at the upper front, light foxing at the upper rear, and some handling and smudging visible in all light-colored areas, yet remains overall vivid and is now protected in a clear sleeve. 237pp.; 24 color illustrations and numerous b/w. It's all about the plates, anyway - Maynard Reece's color plates illustrating the fish of Iowa - and the tips on where to catch and what to eat are solid.
