Pages crisp and clean except for a rectangle of age-toning at the front free endpaper; no owners' marks; binding gently relaxed, but secure; hard cover only lightly rubbed at the spine ends, otherwise excellent. Jacket shows rubbing and some chipping at corners and spine ends, modest surface rubbing on the front, a red water stain at the bottom rear, and lines of gray smudging at the left rear, but is otherwise sound, now protected in a clear sleeve.
