Queen Games. First Edition. Board Game. Good. Item #79407
Alhambra Big Box. By Dirk Henn. This game has a little bit of everything: hand management, tile placement, and set collection. Players play as 13c. architects working to build a fortress in Islamic Granada. Each player collects money in four different currencies to purchase building tiles drawn from a draw stack and places them in the player’s own fortress, or Alhambra. Tile placement is restricted by walls that border some sides of tiles, which makes further strategizing necessary. Players compete to build the largest set of types of buildings to score points each round on the victory track, and the greatest number of victory points with the drawn stack is gone wins. The “Big Box” comes with the base game and 5 expansions: The Vizier’s Favour, The City Gates, The Thief’s Turn, The Caliph’s Treasure Chamber, and The Power of Sultan. NOTE DAMAGE: The box itself has long and fairly deep scratches on both front and back, but remains overall intact; the contents remain entirely as new. Best for 2-6 players aged 8 and up; approximately 45min to 60min per game.
