Clean pages except for some age-toning on the endpapers and some pale brown spotting on the right edges and in the margins of pp. 20 and 32; no owners' marks, clean cloth hard cover only modestly shelf-rubbed at corners and spine ends, dust jacket darkened from handling along the foreedges and spine and showing open tears at corners and spine ends, some surface chips along the sides of the spine, a closed tear at the bottom front, and a little chip at the upper rear, otherwise bright and attractive, now protected in a clear sleeve. 81pp. Mary is so energetic (and clumsy) that she knocks things over and causes trouble, so she tries ballet.
