New York: Harper & Row, Publishers, 1965. Kaufmann, John. Hardcover. Very Good / Very Good. Item #073375
Signed and inscribed to a named individual by the author on the title page. Crisp, clean pages; no owners' marks; pictorial hard cover shows only light surface rubbing at spine ends and corners; dust jacket bears edgewear and a few tiny tears around corners and spine head, mild sunning to the spine, a closed tear at the top rear, and a small adhesive stain where part of the Harper Crest label at the lower front has pulled away, otherwise excellent. A squabble between best friends against a backdrop of violence during school desegregation would frighten an ordinary child, but Lullah is clever and brave. All right, maybe a little frightened, but still brave.
