Pages clean except for a bookplate showing only a device and motto on the reverse of the title page, thin lines of water stain at edges of preliminaries, pale red pencil marks on about ten pages, an ink stain in the heel margins of pp.21-28, and moderate foxing scattered throughout; blue cloth and marbled paper with some indication of having been halfbound, but corners are now merely worn, board edges somewhat chipped, paper surface scuffed; the cloth remains vivid and glossy, though the gilt titles at the spine have darkened. From a limited printing by Jouast et Sigaux pour la collection des Curiosités Historiques et Littéraires of a selection from work composed in the late 16th or early 17th centuries. xv, 256pp.; 12mo.
