Alfred A. Knopf, 2014. First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine / Very Good. Item #072151
Signed by the author on a blank page preceding the half-title, with no date, inscription, or named recipient. Clean and bright; the hard cover bears mild shelfwear at spine heel and bottom corners, and the dust jacket has a tiny, closed tear at the spine heel, little, shallow creases at the spine head, and the eponymous continuous in the form of some damn fingerprint or dust speck somewhere on the jacket because it's that sueded-feeling stuff in matte white, which is why I put an archival sleeve on the jacket, but it's just going to end up trapping the one-more-thing in there, so I'm sorry, you'll just have to be happy with the fact that it's almost flawless, a first printing, signed by a hackle-smoothingly congenial, promising author whose shameless abuse of his quirky smile always puts me in mind of that first bright, hot, still day in a midwestern spring when the only breeze is from the southeast, where a heavy brow of cloud ruminates on the frozen pepper it's about to serve on a slice of wind sharp enough to shove a steel beam through two trees and a stone wall.
