Clean, crisp, bright pages, though with a scratch in the gilding along the top edge and another along the bottom, with some rubbing and flaking around all edges; no owners' marks or bookplate; tiny points of rubbing at some of the corners and a few very faint rubbing marks on the surfaces, otherwise excellent. Full black leather binding with gilt titles and decoration; bound-in ribbon, moire endpapers, all page edges gilded. vi, 438pp. w/ index.
