A revised edition of the 1915 "Bookbinding and Its Auxiliary Branches", this volume containing Parts 3 and 4. Crisp, bright, clean pages save for a light gray fingerprint on the head edges and a small surface abrasion on the final text page; smyth-sewn binding is square and secure, with minimal rubbing at the corners and spine ends of the buckram cover and mild softening and rubbing at the spine heel, otherwise lovely. Attractively textured dark endpapers, a red sample leaf demonstrating a less expensive and less difficult alternative to gold leaf, two pages of color illustrations, and numerous b/w diagrams and illustrations throughout.
