New York: Prentice-Hall, Inc., 1953. Second Printing. Hardcover. 8vo. Very Good / No Dustjacket. Item #067198
Pages crisp and clean except for a prior owner's initials at the front free endpaper, gentle toning around the edges, and a water stain visible only at the bottom of the foreedge, in the right margin of the final fixed endpaper, and along the heel edges of both final endpapers, otherwise causing only a barely tangible ripple at the bottom edges of the last sixty pages. Binding is square and secure, full textured cloth hard cover bearing only some rubbing and finish loss at the spine ends and corners and some darkening to the gilt at the titles, otherwise attractive and well-kept. xviii, 1166pp. including Section, Key Number, and subject indices. A Herculean feat of research and organization, this volume provided one-book access to hitherto uncollected code and became indispensible to attorneys and accountants across the country, remaining so today because of its systematic, historical approach and thorough definitions.
