Language: German, printed in a blackletter typeface. Pages are overall clean except for two inkstamped letters on the front free endpaper, light foxing throughout, small water lines to final two leaves, removal of the final free endpaper, and chipping at the upper right corner of final fixed endpaper. Binding is somewhat relaxed, and the final hinge is starting, but overall the spine holds square and the binding is secure. The half-leather cover shows chipping along the edges of the marbled paper portion of the boards as well as surface rubbing, most conspicuous over binding elements and at the middle rear; the leather corners show some scuffing at their tips, and the spine shows surface wear along both spine sides, over binding bands at front and back, and more mildly, some spots of wear on the spine, particularly at spine ends. The gilt titling remains bright except for some flaking of the decorative line nearest the spine head. 691pp. This is the thirteenth volume in the collected Inspirations of the Community that later became the Amana Colonies in Iowa.
