Clean pages except for a few sparse spots of foxing; stapled binding is secure; soft cover shows a row of small brown droplet marks at the right front, a touch of blue smudging along left front and right rear, and some chipping at spine ends, otherwise excellent. 48pp.; b/w illus; 14-page annual supplement laid in. In this issue, William J. Petersen describes Christmas as celebrated in Iowa during the previous century. The cover illustration was reprinted from an old Harper's, but as a fifth-generation Iowan who has played the roles of all but four of the people in the picture, I can attest that it looks a lot like an Iowan Christmas in recent decades, too.
