Staplebound in two slim volumes with paper covers, this thesis contains 143pp. divided roughly in half, the first part dealing with polypetalae and the second with gamopetalae; the plants are described and indexed thoroughly, though sadly not shown in pictorial form. The pages are clean except for occasional spots of foxing around the edges and some rust staining visible at the left front of each volume; no owners' marks; the bindings are secure, the covers chipped and showing some short tears around the yapped outside edges and some surface tearing at the spine, otherwise sound.
