Lahore: New India Publications, 1944. First Printing. Hard Cover. Good / No Dustjacket. Item #057462
Signed, with an inscription to a named individual, by the editor at the front free endpaper; an English-language anthology of essays, poems, short stories, and plays by authors from the Punjab region (one of the first of its kind), including a short story by Sant Singh Sekhon. The pages are crisp and clean except for a few scattered dark specks in the paper and some gentle age-toning in the margins; the binding is square and tight; the cloth cover is quite faded at the spine and shows patches of finish loss front and back, a pale brown spot near the top rear, rubbing and softening at spine ends, and small spots of rubbing at the free corners, as well as considerable flaking of the silver lettering at the spine, but remains otherwise clean and sound. 208pp.
