Leipzig: Karl Baedeker, 1912. Fifth Edition. Hard Cover. Good / No Jacket. Item #056828
Pages clean except for some writing on the second (blank) page, some marginalia scattered infrequently throughout the text, the absence of the plan of Jerusalem at p.21, and some water-staining on several of the page edges; there is a light but detectable ripple through the page block. The fold-out map at p. 10 and the rear fold-out map show some wrinkling, with accompanying short tears and chipping at the edges, otherwise clean; binding is relaxed at some signatures, but remains secure; the ribbon pagemarker is faded at the top and nearly detached; the hard cover shows some rubbing around the spine edges and tapping at the free corners as well as gentle sunning at the spine, but the gilt lettering on the front cover and spine remains clear and bright; overall sound and attractive. "21 maps, 56 plans, and a panorama of Jerusalem. Fifth Edition, remodelled and augmented." CIV, 462 pp.
