Beautifully bound in half-leather over marbled paper boards with gilt-stamped lettering and design, a gilded top page block edge, four raised bands and a ribbon page marker; the original paper wrapper has been bound in under marbled endpapers. There is a prior owner's gift note on the first blank page, but no other owners' or use marks; binding is square and tight; there are spots of rubbing to the leather at the corners and edges and a few small scuffs on the spine, but this book has been wonderfully well-preserved and remains in excellent condition. 506 pp.; 8vo.
