Signed by the author at the front free endpaper with a lengthy note to author John Leggett, dated December 1984. The pages of this copy are crisp, bright, and clean, the binding square and tight; the hard cover shows a line of sunning around the uppers and a little delicate rubbing at corners and spine tips, but is otherwise clean and excellent. The jacket shows some sunning at the spine, a short, closed tear at the upper rear corner, and some rubbing and a little edge creasing around the head edges, but is overall clean and sound, unclipped, and now protected in a clear, archivally safe sleeve.; Signed by Author.
